   EFL Ireland is a small and friendly English language school. Our specialty is our summertime GLOBAL VILLAGE junior courses & 3, 4, 5 & 6 to 1 Adult courses. We can also organize tours around Ireland with an English teacher as your tour-guide. Our highly qualified and internationally experienced EFL trainers use modern teaching methods and up-to-date learning aids and materials, emphasizing conversation skills to develop true lingua franca skills with an international focus.  

   EFL Ireland began hosting junior students for our English language summer courses in 2006. We were accredited by the Irish Department of Education and Science that same year and in 2007 we joined MEI RELSA (the professional organization or Recognized English Language Schools in Ireland). In 2008 we began offering Trinity (spoken English) exams and we were represented at many international tourism and language travel workshops in France, Germany, Korea and Japan. EFL Ireland has gone from strength to strength constantly improving our courses and marketing abroad to attract a good international mix of students. 

   We are based in Waterford, Ireland's oldest city, on the coast of Ireland’s Sunny South East, the warmest and sunniest part of a normally rainy country and we are surrounded by natural beauty and a dramatic coastline.

   Waterford is Ireland’s oldest city and was founded by Vikings in the ninth century. The history of this ancient seaport is maintained in its many remarkable buildings, ancient city walls and notably, Reginald’s Tower which has been guarding the entrance to the port for over 1000 years. Waterford is a very interesting place to study with many great traditional pubs, all kinds of restaurants, traditional and modern music venues, movie cinemas and stage performances.

   Waterford is also the home of world-famous Waterford Crystal factory, said to be the world's finest crystal - they make the ball that drops down on Times Square during the ten second countdown every New Years Eve. 

The Clubs

   In addition to our weekday morning lessons, we also offer students a Surfing Club, Laser-Tag Adventure Club, Martial Arts Club, Splashworld Swimming Club and Bowling Club on Thursday afternoons. 

    Ireland is blessed with many fine golf courses and golf activities: Mini Golf courses, Pitch and Putt courses, Driving Range practice, lessons on campus and, for advanced players, professional courses.
